Christmas Bells Pattern

Christmas Bells. Repeated twice this would measure just under 8" long. That may be a little long for a bracelet, so you may just want to have a wide border on each side of the bells and do the pattern only once, if you need a small bracelet. The pattern is 2.55" wide. Pattern created with BeadCreatorPro
Shown in Peyote and Brick stitch here and I'll have it in Two Drop Peyote and Herringbone later today

Candy Cane Bracelet,

I've included both Brick and Peyote charts here. Worked in 11/0's this is 2.3" wide. It's 3.9" so repeating the pattern twice for a bracelet should be fine. The background would be nice in a different finished white other than the candy cane white. Or an icy blue would be nice too.

Love to hear from you if you try out the patterns. Pattern was made on BeadCreatorPro

Beaded Candy Cane Ornament

Instructions are here. http://beadwork.about.com/library/weekly/aa120197.htm
Very simple. It did take me awhile to get the hang of beading around the wire. It was JUST in MY way ! lol. I did mine in 11/0's seeds and I think it's kind of small for an ornament and a little too big for earrings. I think I'll try it again in 6/0's or 8/0's for an ornament, and maybe 15/0's for earrings. I really not too fond of big earrings. At least not since the 70's with those big hoops and disco balls we wore! lol

Storage and Organization

After years of beading on and off, I have accumulated a LOT of beads.
For the last two months I have been re-organizing them. I like the plastic
storage boxes with compartments. You can buy them any where from a
hobby shop, to Walmart, to a sporting goods store.
One thing I have learned is to be sure the closures are strong. Be sure you
get closures like the colored ones here.

I bought several at a sporting goods store and the closure were so fragile that they broken off the first time I closed the box

Cuff Bracelet Update - Cab Pt 5

Just an update - I have almost finished the right side embroidery. Just a bit more to fill it all in.
The left side will mirror the right and the center will be fill in also. Then it will be sewn over a 1 3/4" metal cuff bracelet form. It isn't as time consuming as I thought it would be. I've been working on it 10 minutes here and there. I'll have another update soon. I am really pleased with it so far.

Let's Have a Contest

I've been organizing my beads and have way too many. Especially in sizes that I won't use since I don't do a lot of stringing. So - a contest. Guess the number of beads in this container, or come the closest, and you win the container of beads.
So here are the Rules - I tried to think of every thing, but since this is my first contest, suggestions are welcome.

1. First person to guess the exact number, (or comes closest without going over) of beads in this container wins.
2. Leave your guess in the comments below. First guess.
3. Become of a Follower of my Blog and leave a Second comment stating so and a Second Guess at the number of beads in the container.
3. If you blog about the contest on your blog, return here and leave a Third comment that you have blogged about the contest, a link to your blog, and leave your Third Guess in that comment.
4. Each Guess must be in 1st, 2d or 3rd separate post. If you read this on the Hive, you must
visit the blog and post comment here under this post. Guesses made on the Hive and not the actual blog will not be considered.
5. The contest will end on Nov 23, 10pm and winner announced within 2 days and mailed within 2 days from announcement. Any guesses made after
Nov 23 will not be considered.
6. Open to USA mailing addresses only. Sorry shipping anywhere else is just too darn expensive.

Have Fun!
