Crystals and Delica's

This one worked out well. I started with a center strip worked in RAW and then peyote from there. It came out pretty good since I had no plan in mind when I started.

The top two in my photo are worked in 8/0's and and 11/0's
The bottom right is worked in 11/0's and 15/0's as the pattern calls for
and the bottom left is worked in hex cuts and 11/0's
These are fun to make and work up really fast.

Ziggy in Black

A small version of Ziggy - a pattern you'll be seeing a lot of in beading patterns.
Done here in Delica Beads DB 310 Matte Black and DB 021 Steel.
The stitches used are peyote and herringbone.

Another one before we leave for Fla. Beads are all packed but I promise I 'll post some photos of the scenery too. We'll be on the gulf coast off Tampa.

Happy New Year 2009

A cold start to the new year. Ten degrees this morning. I don't know what the wind chill was, but it's pretty darn cold. Ah, but just a couple more days and we'll be on the way to Fla for a couple weeks. I think I have way more beads and projects packed than I'll need but you never know what you'll need.

And my latest bead. I'm waiting for some larger seeds beads in the same colors to make the necklace portion.

Another Beaded Bead

The weather has been nasty, so I've been playing more with beads. Here's another beaded bead.
The beading is peyote stitch over a wooden bead like that shown in the photo.

Another storm coming tomorrow, so what bead will it be next?
