Here, depending on the size of your ball, you'll have to experiment.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPYteSakppzQ5ThT1xnMu1DkJICbXim6OmK2jwWVz3hmKiTdLoB88CeOKhe-8ssUwpuG67JrEP94_-DWv99K0fwl95XFZpkqvEmZ7LafpwDp6qlB4bW08XZ_I49_EoqDTjtaNrFjxhC9Lr/s1600/ball+blue+8.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPYteSakppzQ5ThT1xnMu1DkJICbXim6OmK2jwWVz3hmKiTdLoB88CeOKhe-8ssUwpuG67JrEP94_-DWv99K0fwl95XFZpkqvEmZ7LafpwDp6qlB4bW08XZ_I49_EoqDTjtaNrFjxhC9Lr/s1600/ball+blue+8.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
Then, add your fringe, if desired. On the pink ball, I did straight fringe in varying lengths, and on the blue ball, I'm adding a simple branch fringe.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf-WfuTY0wa2p-A0DJ6OzVypMJ1bnkQZRb4tVibiIvYcTAxpQSYyXTALOxLb8DaRNhqfqUbdRhfmpbesjm0A0xgAcb0EzH9TziPaCV4yrk_iDrwoRR2EDKmuySuK35Z432DkKS1sKjRATr/s1600/ball+blue+8+fringe.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf-WfuTY0wa2p-A0DJ6OzVypMJ1bnkQZRb4tVibiIvYcTAxpQSYyXTALOxLb8DaRNhqfqUbdRhfmpbesjm0A0xgAcb0EzH9TziPaCV4yrk_iDrwoRR2EDKmuySuK35Z432DkKS1sKjRATr/s1600/ball+blue+8+fringe.JPG" height="320" width="223" /></a></div>
<br />There is no right or wrong way, so have fun with them. So now we're ready to assemble. Again, my ball is 1 1/2". If yours is larger, you will need to make adjustments. I've made 4 medallions. To attach them, you'll need a top ring around the ball. Since there are four medallions, the number of beads in the top ring should be divisible by four. I have 24 beads in my ring around the top of the ball.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA3uFgoJrnH-UWW8J-a6WatPjNgu8xTdxjWCMbnGK2q5Ahs3c4nfFAR21HPlZlR2ooJSHc0h3Zggl6TCXRvZol-agSgLr6NMEF7QwfA0TqIg7gOdbqR0X8ROK2G8C_gTUJHx_tySmtQ-Fv/s1600/ball+blue+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA3uFgoJrnH-UWW8J-a6WatPjNgu8xTdxjWCMbnGK2q5Ahs3c4nfFAR21HPlZlR2ooJSHc0h3Zggl6TCXRvZol-agSgLr6NMEF7QwfA0TqIg7gOdbqR0X8ROK2G8C_gTUJHx_tySmtQ-Fv/s1600/ball+blue+1.JPG" height="306" width="320" /></a></div>
Now we'll divide that 24 bead ring by 4. Add 7 beads to the thread and stitch through every 6th bead, 4 times. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5icPJELOMrZ_e8K82xZvOirc3ijKEqPcPFFwCN5ye76M4mIU2Ca7HQyiFvy___73li8qZz2JWbGxECw1mbTg4u1BU13DYF9_9GjyXLGXVJbfpoj3P5VVgSkDugtyq25qbHNg13-dY_G9s/s1600/ball+blue+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5icPJELOMrZ_e8K82xZvOirc3ijKEqPcPFFwCN5ye76M4mIU2Ca7HQyiFvy___73li8qZz2JWbGxECw1mbTg4u1BU13DYF9_9GjyXLGXVJbfpoj3P5VVgSkDugtyq25qbHNg13-dY_G9s/s1600/ball+blue+2.JPG" height="266" width="320" /></a></div>
after adding the 4th group of 7 beads, work down 3 of the first 7 bead group. Stitch through one of the medallions and back through the next 3 beads. Through the 6th bead again and down through 3 beads of the next swag.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is a 1 1/2" ornament ball. You can make adjustments for a slightly larger or smaller ball.<br />
These are the directions for the medallion portion. You will need 4 of them for a ball this size.<br />
First - thread on 5 11/0's and tie in circle<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD7Au_fGPb2dEjz62b4kExmfJCqOicrluNu-vKKBKf7n4TcAdfa7TaIHmuOJsVAFGsNzrI26LDApwp35d8sW76YBQy67axefveUJ2Enk1Ro1xkQqFYqeImdA6Iy90Rcm9_zNSNLcjq0_T0/s1600/christ+ball+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD7Au_fGPb2dEjz62b4kExmfJCqOicrluNu-vKKBKf7n4TcAdfa7TaIHmuOJsVAFGsNzrI26LDApwp35d8sW76YBQy67axefveUJ2Enk1Ro1xkQqFYqeImdA6Iy90Rcm9_zNSNLcjq0_T0/s320/christ+ball+1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Next add 1 11/0 in between each of the first 5 beads. You 'll now have what looks like a little star.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4prybrzzWJzF8lq5IJ44yKHiPuWKxv87-HLfzGyZU3mV9sDELLowMBh_M_nQpKv1FK1d2F-co40KSynuqrp3fQg6bJVut2Y_TU0LTo1H5Dty76kZ_sA7ygECeTCdS72UcSxKIVLSsJdfo/s1600/chris+ball+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4prybrzzWJzF8lq5IJ44yKHiPuWKxv87-HLfzGyZU3mV9sDELLowMBh_M_nQpKv1FK1d2F-co40KSynuqrp3fQg6bJVut2Y_TU0LTo1H5Dty76kZ_sA7ygECeTCdS72UcSxKIVLSsJdfo/s320/chris+ball+2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Next add 2 superduos in between each of the last five 11/0's<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLoI0LKsEhk4ENfISvLElHxBmS-bOPLZjh_3QrEM657UmxpLmd9fwegCRI9USXgweT2HtrKhtRF7Gpvl0AJVAVCXnkcCPan44AegPcBIGnJY0HNxpyZkwFzgu3efdQO9xtpS29xCRXBPr5/s1600/chris+ball+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="273" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLoI0LKsEhk4ENfISvLElHxBmS-bOPLZjh_3QrEM657UmxpLmd9fwegCRI9USXgweT2HtrKhtRF7Gpvl0AJVAVCXnkcCPan44AegPcBIGnJY0HNxpyZkwFzgu3efdQO9xtpS29xCRXBPr5/s320/chris+ball+3.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Then add 1 Superduo in between each of the previous rows' superduos<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNIBkKuUP-B0vBDGVw_943qHNth_GomyQwnJqZnr-neen2R6HEaKWrLRhyBg9H4742NHvCN_H0ogwjjRBw0kFdq10riQlXIzeXbCfaINLVvXyXblMdygr2XuhPy74nl7cpvk0_iZrDG3Ty/s1600/chris+ball+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNIBkKuUP-B0vBDGVw_943qHNth_GomyQwnJqZnr-neen2R6HEaKWrLRhyBg9H4742NHvCN_H0ogwjjRBw0kFdq10riQlXIzeXbCfaINLVvXyXblMdygr2XuhPy74nl7cpvk0_iZrDG3Ty/s320/chris+ball+4.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Next row, we'll add 1 4mm pearl in between each superduo. You can use 4mm bicones here, but be<br />
careful, they will scratch the finish on the ball.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6Bg3sLWSCzYlOMdY_l4B-fIuo15qrFB-gPPzRH9sfqKzH8Nro9wjSirrJ-ZPQ-WWQhhwHPNObUham09cy5gVGoC_wmRG3oIR-aa48U46175Pu_YK_WyKbHLZdl-iNDZEdUkr7u_Y67taF/s1600/chris+ball+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="243" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6Bg3sLWSCzYlOMdY_l4B-fIuo15qrFB-gPPzRH9sfqKzH8Nro9wjSirrJ-ZPQ-WWQhhwHPNObUham09cy5gVGoC_wmRG3oIR-aa48U46175Pu_YK_WyKbHLZdl-iNDZEdUkr7u_Y67taF/s320/chris+ball+5.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Next row, add 5 11/0s over each pearl.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid53K83pkgGGbT7TigL0QDYtbzmmfPCP_BDZ0TSbAUUqAlH4_tWuCIbY51k944Py9h_fyE9g7a07L3aPBKJbDtbRQTQ-dsmM4dnsPqYPkSSOvXX7iUSxwOmp6I4XNdw2MLNE3i9QtgDlMs/s1600/chris+ball+6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="292" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid53K83pkgGGbT7TigL0QDYtbzmmfPCP_BDZ0TSbAUUqAlH4_tWuCIbY51k944Py9h_fyE9g7a07L3aPBKJbDtbRQTQ-dsmM4dnsPqYPkSSOvXX7iUSxwOmp6I4XNdw2MLNE3i9QtgDlMs/s320/chris+ball+6.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

That completes the medallion - you'll need 4 of these for the 1 1/2" ball. Next installment, we'll connect these medallions.<br /><br />

You can work in flat, straight lines or diagonal, or even a pattern. You can work in tubular peyote in<br />
a spiral pattern or straight rows. If you want to work in a chevron pattern, you may need to use odd<br />
count peyote, depending on how the pattern repeats. <br />
It's a good idea to start the piece with an even amount of rows of the 11 delica or seed bead first. <br />
When you break between the pattern of graduated sizes, use the same amount of rows for the break.<br />

Yorkbeads.com is a wholesale source for a lot of the new Spike beads, but they also lots of other Czech beads. Here are some hex cut hanks I purchased recently. I've been busy packing co-op bulbs orders, but I can't wait to finish up and settle in for the winter. Lots of beads to play with.Pamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09600325606869474348noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-989374530703107711.post-63139719433774535762012-10-03T03:31:00.002-07:002012-10-03T03:31:33.728-07:00Cab SetsOff and running with my Clay Cab Sets. Here are some of the beads (focal cabs) now with the glaze on them. Some have matte and some glossy. I have about 100 made now, but not all finished. By the end of next week, I may have enough glazed to start listing them for sale. My last posting never went through. <br />
So here is what I am working on now. Making focal beads with earthenware clay. They are in for the first firing and then I will glaze and fire a second time. I'll be using a variety of colored glazes with a semi/transparent finish. Some will have floral and animal decals and be<br />

Finally finished! I bead a bit, ok, a lot slower, during gardening season. The plant co-op keeps me pretty busy. And no matter how hard I try, it keeps my fingers rough and my finger nails dirty - lol.<br />
I started this cuff a couple of months back, but the last week or so have made a push to finish it.<br />
I guess because I have ordered so many beads recently, I figured I had better get busy!<br />
Turquoise cabs and various sized seed beads make it quite dimensional.Pamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09600325606869474348noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-989374530703107711.post-14007321326638382652012-05-20T14:07:00.000-07:002012-05-20T14:07:53.180-07:00Bead Shopping<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Bead shopping leads to more and more beads. I've been admiring the pieces made with Czech glass buttons, so I had to order some. I picked these two first. Both have green and amethyst coloring with accents of gold. Then, of course, I had to buy accent colors to work with, in various shades, shapes and sizes. I plan a cuff bracelet done in embroidery and maybe a necklace with the other.<br />

Some times things just have to sit around a while before the inspiration hits. I had ordered the colors before we went to Fla, but still didn't have a firm idea of what I wanted to do. Then one morning I was surfing for Tai Chi instructions and happened on some pagado pictures. I knew then, what I wanted to do.<br />This is just the embroidery portion. I need to do the lining yet, and the necklace portion will<br />be tubular peyote. I'll post another photo when finished. I had to order some more beads.<br />I'm enjoying bead embroidery.Pamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09600325606869474348noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-989374530703107711.post-56671930486312057472012-01-25T09:39:00.000-08:002012-01-25T09:50:28.608-08:00White Cameo Cuff<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJLNbxetc6qfUGnoE7QEYZOMsM5Va1cyRPGy_g17FibPlYTp0uIYPOQ6MG5s-hDQvb10irSSdFLbHskSguo-FTyNrVj5Ia-3aqdGHeQOBUyrtjXKJWTs7uVhwK13BeDDb-6LefIoj16ZgX/s1600/cameo+cuff+2.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJLNbxetc6qfUGnoE7QEYZOMsM5Va1cyRPGy_g17FibPlYTp0uIYPOQ6MG5s-hDQvb10irSSdFLbHskSguo-FTyNrVj5Ia-3aqdGHeQOBUyrtjXKJWTs7uVhwK13BeDDb-6LefIoj16ZgX/s320/cameo+cuff+2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5701627135381490754" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqz7eKFwOXOZy0JxceDbQLwxnjWZrl2VG1_tiGWJBuxgV4eciVvj5xJgqwx9aszseayZJmycDK_gb2nzO8xLGstGqFLAfpa2caw355onPNu4-MB4H0goF0412ClCx6AGJQPEMplaOmPWXN/s1600/cameo+cuff.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqz7eKFwOXOZy0JxceDbQLwxnjWZrl2VG1_tiGWJBuxgV4eciVvj5xJgqwx9aszseayZJmycDK_gb2nzO8xLGstGqFLAfpa2caw355onPNu4-MB4H0goF0412ClCx6AGJQPEMplaOmPWXN/s320/cameo+cuff.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5701627044113958082" border="0" /></a><br />I finally finished my white cameo cuff bracelet. How about Winter Nights? The stars seemed the brightest here in the winter. The tubular beads are stitched in peyote, using delica black #310 with an occasional bead of #551 for a sparkle. Silverplated stars, 10 and 12 mm and Swarovski stars, 20 mm and 28 mm are strung along a silver chain. I even found a star clasp.<br />A couple of hints.<br />Keep silver in a sealed bag when not in use. It will help keep the silver from tarnishing. Walmart sells polishing cloths that remove tarnish easily on small pieces.<br />When making tube beads, it helps to string some smaller beads inside the tube to keep it's shape.Pamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09600325606869474348noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-989374530703107711.post-19546767541552272882011-11-26T06:52:00.000-08:002011-11-26T08:23:24.340-08:00Squaresville<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwkhNUoluxWLA0nN4260sK9rmA6pg5lmjykpIfFAlTxh6uGWac_pIuO-6Jx0yUbKcntX_j1VsT3ZMhAb5BZDGjkV9Y_Qni3-afciqMXQDNBl7cZ-ZsSTtd2-teG6ugRPlxdD3LMUWpbMwL/s1600/squaresville+2.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 289px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwkhNUoluxWLA0nN4260sK9rmA6pg5lmjykpIfFAlTxh6uGWac_pIuO-6Jx0yUbKcntX_j1VsT3ZMhAb5BZDGjkV9Y_Qni3-afciqMXQDNBl7cZ-ZsSTtd2-teG6ugRPlxdD3LMUWpbMwL/s320/squaresville+2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5679340819751403842" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEUw8zPvQ2HmxfNBgZhFNdfUxBfRxuCgmBxilsS4PjnfWzEXMRNRCs58X0veBt6AbyAk9FJtltAQ-lXNVwGpPMiS51Gr8G4OSfDpCPVZan7gpCDz19juoKa11_Zx978w9X_kev_UWqtzLF/s1600/squaresville.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 223px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEUw8zPvQ2HmxfNBgZhFNdfUxBfRxuCgmBxilsS4PjnfWzEXMRNRCs58X0veBt6AbyAk9FJtltAQ-lXNVwGpPMiS51Gr8G4OSfDpCPVZan7gpCDz19juoKa11_Zx978w9X_kev_UWqtzLF/s320/squaresville.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5679340660080018370" border="0" /></a><br />Here is another project that I just needed to assemble and add a clasp. Someone passed this pattern onto me last summer and it's been one I've been wanting to try since I first saw it. It's one of those things that just make you say, "I've got to try that!" I believes it comes from Russia. I have seen it on various European sites dubbed 'The Twisted Triangle' or the "Russian Twisted Triangle.' It should be the "Drive You Mad Russian Triangle"!<br />
But think cellini triangle, and it is really not hard. And yet, I worked on and off yesterday on one and started over 4 times. 4lb Fireline broke 3 times while keeping tension tight! Unbelievable! So today, I picked up 6lb test. And again, almost done and the 6lb broke. So, I start to think that it is not the Fireline itself, but sharp edges on the 15/0 delica beads. Fortunately, I had some Toho<br />
rounded 15/0's. Finally, I completed the first half. A second triangle is now made and the two zipped together for a focal bead. But I'm also thinking that this half could now be stitched done to backing and become part of a beaded embroidery piece.Pamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09600325606869474348noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-989374530703107711.post-12226252220559009642011-11-14T19:20:00.001-08:002011-11-15T15:33:41.336-08:00Stiff Felt for Beading Embroidery<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVY_4LSKOeyG4Z1oVuT30ZrzppBL-hSfMzk2R6DcUYEtYeH9Uk0IoyJBwG2NHA-2wGJ_6XZUSHmUqB4BWiZHhN0qwpzue-JcZ4FqoeW3VYTVM6uFCFvZXjLJLAOGq3XWumxWuOp4BwJ1VP/s1600/stiff+felt+2.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVY_4LSKOeyG4Z1oVuT30ZrzppBL-hSfMzk2R6DcUYEtYeH9Uk0IoyJBwG2NHA-2wGJ_6XZUSHmUqB4BWiZHhN0qwpzue-JcZ4FqoeW3VYTVM6uFCFvZXjLJLAOGq3XWumxWuOp4BwJ1VP/s320/stiff+felt+2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5675369637897014258" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCwW5kQNfqAR5qBfUMcD03GM9uhhtAV-gZ7uoNqRsmHzistw_oz64sqxUfbAgpmD7ANQh8CX0XG2fT_9r5s6b5dwWemgHEczHFKL-kC5pGH-Y-oampivqLMMfxjr3ZYDunsXc5sQtSJDwb/s1600/stiff+felt.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 302px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCwW5kQNfqAR5qBfUMcD03GM9uhhtAV-gZ7uoNqRsmHzistw_oz64sqxUfbAgpmD7ANQh8CX0XG2fT_9r5s6b5dwWemgHEczHFKL-kC5pGH-Y-oampivqLMMfxjr3ZYDunsXc5sQtSJDwb/s320/stiff+felt.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5675369501360790386" border="0" /></a><br />Well, I have tried embroidering on some thin leather from Tandy, but it is still pretty hard on my fingers.<br />I even discovered I was piercing the tip of my index finger and didn't notice it. Just under the first<br />layer of skin and out again! Yikes! So, I went in search of the stiff felt some have recommended to me.<br />We passed a fabric store on the way to the apple orchard this weekend and stopped there. I found some stiff felt for $4.00 a yard x 60" wide. Nice! Only probably was they only had it in taupe. It's a nice neutral color though. Then off on a trip to town and Michaels. Armed with my weekly coupon.<br />Ah, Michaels! Stiff felt in 9x12 pieces in a rainbow of colors. Regularly prices at $.99 each but with this weeks coupon 40% off purchase. This is a different bracelet. I still plan to make another to go with<br />the copper necklace. Components for this bracelet are available from fusionbeads.com, artfire.com or beadaholique.com<br />The copper leaves are already attached to the chain. I used a double length of it to make if fuller. And I added more components, -<br />small Swarovski pearls, Swarovski butterflies and some different shaped copper leaves.<br />Larger pearls with bead caps are also used. It's a free for all! Add what ever strikes your fancy.<br />The leaf chain is also available in silver.
